Shaya Fainman, Cymer Professor in Advanced Optical Technologies, is involved in design and realization of ultrafast and miniature optical systems.
He and his team at UCSD are currently being honored by CENIC for their Scalable Energy-Efficient Datacenters project, which has won the 2010
Innovations in Networking Award for Experimental/Developmental Applications. Readers can learn more about this project at the
