[Doug Cremer]

A driving force behind both the California Virtual Campus and the CCC Technology Center, Doug Cremer's job is to make sure that all of California's 110 community colleges (and those offsite centers with connectivity to CalREN) can take full advantage of the technology made available to them, including high-performance networking.

In March of 2008, the education project CAHSEE: Stepping Into Your Future was honored with one of CENIC's prestigious Innovations in Networking Awards for Educational Applications. The program brought together the K20 education community, public libraries, and nonprofit community technology centers to develop and deliver two highly engaging hybrid courses that prepare students across the state for the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). As a part of that program, Cremer has further made himself invaluable in the drive to make sure that all of the Golden State's students realize the greatest possible benefit from educational technology.
