January 5-6, 2012: MPICT Winter ICT Educator Conference • MPICT.org For the 4th year in a row, the National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education Centers are partnering to create a Winter ICT Educator Conference, January 5-6, 2012, in San Francisco. It is co-hosted by the new California Community College (CCC) ICT Collaborative, funded by the CCC State Chancellor's office to coordinate and improve ICT education at all 112 of California's Community Colleges, and the BATEC and CSSIA NSF ATE National Centers. January 22 - Janury 26, 2012: Winter 2012 Joint Techs Meeting • http://events.internet2.edu/2012/jt-loni/ The Winter 2012 ESCC/Internet2 Joint Techs is being hosted by the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative (LONI) at the C.B. Pennington Jr. Building, C. B. Pennington Biomedical Research Center (located approximately 2.7 miles from the Marriott Baton Rouge), from Sunday afternoon, January 22 through Thursday, January 26. February 6-8, 2012: The Quilt and StateNets Joint 2010 Member Meeting • Meeting Website The Quilt and StateNets are hosting another joint winter member meeting February 6-8, 2012 at the La Jolla Shores Hotel in La Jolla CA again this year. We will follow a similar format as last year where there will be a Quilt Board meeting and other working group meetings the afternoon of Monday, February 6th starting at 1:00 pm PT. The main member meeting will program begin on Tuesday morning, February 7th and run through 12:00 pm ET on Wednesday, February 8th. March 12-14, 2012: CENIC 2012 Annual Conference • Conference Website The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) will hold its 16th annual conference, Beyond the Network, at the Sheraton Palo Alto in Palo Alto, CA. For three days, the K-20 research and education community from California will come together, with many of their colleagues from around the world, for presentations, demonstrations, and keynote speakers illustrating the value of the high-performance networking made possible by the California Research & Education Network to their communities. March 18-20, 2012: CISOA 2012 Annual Conference • Conference Website Representatives from community colleges throughout the state of California will come together at the Community College Chief Information Systems Officers Association (CISOA) 2012 conference, Managing the Future. This relational conference and exhibit promotes an opportunity for networking, information exchange and learning. Deans, vice chancellors, MIS directors, vice presidents, IT directors, and others from the community college arena will be attending. October 28-31, 2012: STEMtech Conference • Conference Website The League for Innovation is pleased to announce its Call for Proposals for the 2012 STEMtech conference, an international convening focused on increasing student success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The STEM-related tracks focus on improving STEM education and better aligning educational systems with each other and local workforce needs. The tech-related tracks focus on technology systems and applications and technology's role in the teaching and learning processes.
