CENIC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Open Student Television Network to provide their content
via CalREN to its Associates who have requested membership.

As CENIC and CalREN Associates, California's research and education institutions enjoy an exclusive opportunity to become a member of the Open Student Television Network.
There is no cost to join. Getting the channel played onto your campus is also free.

- Showcase student-produced content within an internationally-recognized, commercial free network and forum.

California's film, video and television schools and programs are the established global leaders in the entertainment industry and regularly
set the world standard for creativity and innovation. Now, CENIC and CalREN Associates can demonstrate precisely why by
making their created content available via OSTN.
Any student, faculty and staff of CENIC member institutions may submit programming to the Open Student Television Network. The network has also
launched OSTN F&S for faculty and staff to showcase their projects and productions. Examples of student-produced content that can be submitted include:
- short and feature films,
- documentaries,
- fine arts and performance art,
- anime,
- music videos,
- digital animation,
- sit-coms and game shows,
- soap operas, reality and news shows and more.

First, your institution needs to be a member of OSTN and sign a standard agreement.
Institutions and students submit content through OSTN's Digital Depository by uploading online or by sending in DVDs. Access to the gateway
is provided once the institution becomes a member.
Programming is governed by a student steering committee. There is no editing or censoring of content aired.
Once accepted, the content is scheduled as part of OSTN's programming.
